Leura Park Estate

Established in 1995 on 150 Acres in the Bellarine, Leura Park Estate has firmly established itself as a renowned producer of premium cool maritime climate wines - all 100% estate grown and predominantly hand picked. A commitment to grape integrity, "voice" and ‘methode traditionelle’ is showcased in a stable of wines boasting a distinctive and delightful French-style subtlety. The Cellar Door cafe features a funky, rustic-chic ambience. Our culinary line up is (of course!) designed to compliment our wines and can be enjoyed beside a roaring open fire during Winter or on the terrace and lawn under massive market umbrellas in warmer weather.

First judges comments for 2018

Leura Park is one of the Region’s most enjoyable destinations for wines, foods and entertainment, consistently producing some of the best wines in the Geelong region. And what better way to enjoy them than at the cellar door eatery indulging in great pizzas, cheese platters or the famous and generous paddle board of mixed local delights. Plus there are choices of good local ciders and beers. Do yourself a favour and bring those friends you have been meaning to catch up with to enjoy quality time in one of this region’s most social venues.

Special strengths

Family friendly. Frequent entertainment. Generous paddle board of comfort foods. Luncheon Special (2 mains plus dessert). Good choices local wines, beers and ciders. Good value for money.

What the judges said in 2017

Leura Park on the outskirts of Drysdale is a fabulous casual venue for groups who want to graze on gourmet delicacies (or larger meals) while sampling excellent local wines. The building’s edgy design is impressive and the terrace welcoming with outdoor tables shaded by large umbrellas. The interior is funky and rustic with brick floors and sturdy wooden tables and chairs. The perfect look and feel for a country winery. It was bustling when we visited and large groups were enjoying wine tastings, but staff remained friendly, polite, helpful and professional throughout. A very good selection of wines were on hand with plenty of information and advice. A good range of quality foods was available. Stand-outs included ‘Al Fresco Paddle Board’ (all local products) nicely presented and enough for 2 to 3 people. The smoked meats accompanied by frittata and several dips was a very nice platter that went well with the wines. A choice of pizzas included eggplant, capsicum, olives, fetta cheeses and oregano all nicely presented – small but with plenty of toppings and a garnish of salad. The Crème Brûlée (special) was soft and creamy, melted in the mouth and nicely presented. A fabulous finish to the luncheon followed by good coffee.  Leura Park offers good value for money for foods and drinks and a great place for friends and colleagues to gather together.
