A fabulous find on a sunny but bone-chilling mid-winter Saturday. A bustling, buzzy repurposed servo serving creamy coffee and the region’s finest produce in the streets of Ballarat’s historic Golden Point. Instead of pumping petrol the team at Drive Café pump out delicious breakfasts and lunches accompanied by a drinks list of Victoria’s favourite independent wines and beers and Melbourne’s eternally popular Dukes coffee. A friendly team worked the floor and seemed to know what was needed and doing it well. Service was swift and a team of three worked the huge coffee machine pumping out brews, while he kitchen team served up a constant stream of dishes of terrific variety and appeal. Drive’s pride in local suppliers and quality produce is commendable, the serving portions were ample and special dietary requirements were well catered for. The Cafe latte was smooth, creamy and delicious. Drive Café is one of Ballarat’s favourite eateries where the Value for money is outstanding.
