Hotel Canberra is a stunning heritage listed property between Ballarat CBD and Lake Wendouree. In September 2022, an enterprising team of three embarked on a long term project to bring the 130 year old building to life as a home for culinary adventure, contemporary drinking, adventurous dining and restful slumber. Now an award winning property, Hotel Canberra is stamping its place in Ballarat's culinary tapestry. Our restaurant Vesta xJigs is the jewel in the hotel serving 100% Victorian produce in a choice of 6 rr 8 course degustation menus. For us, we are literal when it comes to degust, the French word for Tasting. We take our guests on a wandering excursion through the best of Victoria's lakes, fields, oceans and vineyards. Along with boutique accommodation (currently a 1 & 3 bedroom apartment), we have a licensed cafe trading 6 days a week from 8.00am to 4.00pm, focused on serving locally grown and produced ingredients from across the region and the state. Our bar, Bobbys features 100% Victorian beverage, celebrating artisan, boutique, craft, alternative varieties and small batch offerings. We are continuing our commitment to 100% Victorian produce and beverage, as well as creating events to celebrate the makers and culinary adventurers we work with. We work with as many local suppliers as possible supporting other small businesses, while providing a wholly unique, service driven experience to our guests.
