What the judges said in 2019
Frankie will make you happy – whether you visit for lunch, dinner, after-work or late night drinks. Hospitality is delivered by a fine team of professionals, and you will see a cross section of locals and visitors here. There are plenty of menu choices; the homemade dim sim starters where well made and nicely presented. The Duck Bao Buns were lovely, light and packed with flavour and just the right amount of chilli. The Vietnamese Beef Short Ribs were terrific – well cooked with Mint and green chilli a perfect to cut-through to the sweetness of the stock. Presentation was excellent. The “Feed Me” set menu is a great idea and good value. There was a big range of great cocktails created before your eyes – providing a touch of theatre – well thought-out with a mix of classics and Frankie Originals. The beers and ciders were a selection of local, domestic and imported. Customer service was attentive and delivered in a perfect manner. Frankie offers great value for money and will have guests coming back time and time again. The menu provides for those new to Pan Asian and those a bit more adventurous.
