The Copper Kettle is a lovely country cafe with a generous dash of old world charm. It is small and the rustic wooden tables are comfortable and homely. The details such as the crockery and tea cosies, cake stands, tea cups and pots add a lovely feeling to the experience of eating at Copper Kettle. Copper Kettle is run and owned by Renae who is the french trained chef, and her partner Brian. Friendly and hospitable, they looked after customers very well. The menu is based around all day breakfast. The “boxty” is an Irish potato pancake with local sausage, Guinness and mushroom gravy. A really tasty and hearty meal perfect for winter, and there are toasties, freshly made baguettes and Copper Kettle’s Croque Monsieur with a generous ham hock, cheese and mustard, panfried with a buttery crust. Superb. The coffee was good and the cakes high quality and freshly made (the carrot cake was one of the best I’ve tasted). The food, drinks and friendly service provide value for money.
Good selection of foods and beverages. Charming service. Great range breakfast dishes such as French Croque Monsieur and Irish “Boxty” . Vegan and Gluten-free options. Lovely cakes and pastries.
