The Woodhouse Cafe in Belmont, Geelong is is such an attractive place with its huge windows overlooking the street. The long, share front table is the best place to be for those who want to come in and views the hustle and bustle inside the cafe and outside in the street. Locally there’s a relaxed attitude to old conventions so people who want ribs for breakfast or porridge mid-afternoon can get these here.  The menu is an all-day affair with some choices based on breakfast fare (eggs and cereal) and others looking nothing to do with breakfast (ribs, burgers, etc.) with plenty of crossovers between. The Japanese-style chicken burger was a nice change to the traditional offering. The salt, vinegar and, chilli flavours worked well with the chicken, marinated for extra flavour, tender and tasty. The Ramen was rich and vibrant with a good depth of flavours, and the meat was tasty, tender, with just enough chilli to spice up the dish, and served with fresh and crisp sides. The in-house raspberry and white chocolate muffin was incredibly light and delicious. The Apricot Danish was good and fresh. There is a simple but well-designed beverages list that occupies similar space on the coffee listings. it features many local wineries all of which are available by the glass. We received good customer service and were met as we entered, shown to a table and given menus and water straight away. Flatware came ahead of meals, drinks (a delicious smoothie and glass of St Regis Shiraz) were served quickly and good advice was given. The menu is straightforward and easy to navigate.  The flat white coffee was served at a good temperature with nice latte art and structured foam. The milk was sweet and delicious. The chai tea was attractively presented with a pot and a little jar of honey.  The value for money for foods and drinks were good and this attractive and enjoyable new cafe in Belmont is sure to win many loyal customers.
