The Provincial Ballarat is a Heritage Victoria listed building of architectural significance. Located on Ballarat’s historic Lydiard Street the hotel was built in 1909 and has been fully restored and extensively renovated. The Provincial Ballarat now offers a range of beautifully appointed accommodation, a modern café/restaurant, lounge bar, function rooms and conference room. The stylish café, bar and restaurant are located on our Lydiard Street level. There are also alfresco areas on the footpath and rear courtyard garden of the Provincial. Our contemporary dining space is the perfect place to enjoy a quality meal prepared by our chefs featuring fresh, seasonal produce created under the capable hands of our Chief Chef Phillippe Despettes (formerly Craig's Ballarat).
The Provincial Ballarat opposite the Rail Station is a beautiful heritage listed building with super-smart décor and modern furnishings. It a multi-faceted venue comprising the hotel, function rooms, bar, restaurant, and street side and courtyard alfresco areas. The main dining room is extensive and can fit large groups.The menu was mostly Italian based with some classic dishes, family friendly options and a good kids menu. The wine list offered a good selection of wines by the glass, some good quality and well known labels from the local area, and wines from around Australia. The Provincial is a classy venue that is surprisingly relaxed, friendly and a great place to enjoy with family or friends.
