Geelong’s 160 year old National Hotel in Moorabool Street has been sympathetically renovated and is a welcome new player in the quality end of the contemporary pub scene. The national serves a good range of modern Australian cuisine in a laid-back atmosphere. There are three levels (all different) including Geelong’s only CBD rooftop bar. What a treat! Always great to find a pub that serves really good pub foods, a good wine list including local drops, and good coffee. Hotel National has something for everyone. This is quality “gastro-pub” food with a comfortable atmosphere and modest prices.
