Moon and Mountain will take you on a journey to a welcome haven in the depths of a cold winters night in Ballarat! The menu is exciting and vibrant and only matched by the cocktail list and excellent customer service. This is exactly the atmosphere you want with this Asian style cuisine. Equally enjoyable for a small or larger groups.

Special strengths

Vibrant, urban, edgy feel. Friendly and professional customer service. Superb food quality and presentation. Generous servings. Stand outs included oysters with red Nam Jim, tender Sticky Pork Ribs, salt and pepper fried Calamari, and Chicken Prawn and Chilli Sui Mai Wontons. Great selection of quality wines, beers, ciders, spirits and cocktails.  Exceptional value for money.

What the Judges said in 2018

There is a great sense of fun and excitement as you enter Moon and Mountain. It’s a smart, stylish venue with a great atmosphere, offering modern Asian influenced cocktails, rare liqueurs and modern Asian food. The style of food is “hawker cuisine” executed to perfection by a very talented chef, and the open kitchen connects customers with the action. The bar, staff and the branding all look urban and cool. The cocktails are worth the visit alone, made well with lots of delicious modern flavours that suit the Asian foods, and a menu spot on for the venue. We enjoyed our meal immensely, and I can’t wait to go back to try more dishes from the tempting menu. Be sure to book because local foodies have taken ownership of Ballarat’s new stylish dining hub.
