Judges’ Comments for 2017-2018
When visiting Geelong skip the ring-road and head straight to King of the Castle in Pakington Street. The atmosphere makes this an ideal place to meet and relax with partners or mates, and its a favourite with locals. The coffee is delicious, the menu offers tasty options, it’s got loads of natural light, timber surfaces and concrete floors. But it’s the atmosphere and staff that make a visit to King of the Castle brilliant. The foods and coffees served are just right, the value for money excellent, and the lively team are fun, helpful and engaging. King of the Castle has style that could easily be described as “cool”, but with fun staff and contented customers, this place feels very natural.
Special strengths
Masses of atmosphere, great coffee and light meals, fun and helpful service, and good value for money.
