Dine-in and Take-away
what the judges said in 2015
The Inverleigh Hotel is a lovely old pub which had recently been renovated when we visited. The bluestone building is a feature of the town and was owned by progressive local farmers. The interior was modern and fresh and the elegant dining room had white linen on the tables and an open fire. The menu read well and there were crowd pleasing dishes including, calalmari, chicken parmigiana, lamb shanks, Bannockburn chicken, scallop risotto, whiting fillets, and gnocchi with mushrooms. Everything was well cooked. The desserts included well made pub favourites including English style custard on the apple crumble. The small drinks menu provided a sound wine list and some good local drops. The value for money at the Inverleigh was good.
