Formerly the renowned Gladiola Restaurant, Inverleigh Cellar and Kitchen is a modern statement of contemporary Australian Dining with beautifully presented European cuisine, fresh local produce and an inspired menu of local, regional and international wines, beers and spirits – masterfully handled by renowned Chef Lyndon Betts and Proprietor Matt Dempsey. Inverleigh is one of the Matt Dempsey stable of quality eateries now a cellar door restaurant that is warm and inviting, with the walls adorned by paintings that can be purchased. Formerly known as Gladioli the mouth watering menu offers a variety of charcuterie, small tasting plates and sharing options. Tempting seasonal produce accompanied with good flavour combinations is the draw card here – perfect for long Sunday luncheons to share with friends. sharing plates. Stand-outs included the smooth, rich and flavoursome duck liver pate accompanied with traditional cornichons and dried fig chutney and cuttlefish cooked to perfection with finely shaved cauliflower and pieces of chorizo, fresh peas used in the pasta, half roasted deboned chicken cooked to perfection, lightly warmed quince with buttermilk sorbet, hazelnut crumble and crisp cat tongues, and perfectly cooked quince. Don’t forget to browse the local, interstate and imported reds on offer. The variety is extensive; including rarity’s among the more than 300 carefully selected drops chosen by Sommelier Stacey-Lee Edwards’.
