Welcome new entry in 2018
As you would expect with any project associated with owners Lyndsay and David Sharp the Curlewis Golf Club and Clubhouse on the Portarlington Road has catapulted the old golf course into the 21st century with redesigned fairways and greens, that is serviced by an impressive new Clubhouse run by professional staff to very high standards. Head Chef Tara Thyer and Front of House Manager Donald Conn manage a young and friendly team making sure the food, drinks and customer service are exceptional and good value, making a visit to the Clubhouse not to be missed. Its a great new asset and attraction for the region. The Clubhouse stands next door to the Range @ Curlewis – a value for money cocktail Bar and eatery serving meals from 7.00 am to 10.00 pm seven days per week.

It’s an amazing setting with large windows looking out to the greens and the wide sky. Inside it’s warm on a cold winters day with the tables nicely set and staff at the bar ready to take your order. The food was fresh, tasty and very reasonably priced . The portion sizes are generous and there is enough choice to suit the golfer wanting a quick snack, hungry post-18-hole players, and those (like us) who came specifically for the food, drinks and surroundings. The variety is impressive for a golf club. The lunch menu features eleven dishes plus there’s the all-day menu of sandwiches and snacks. The quality was very good. There was a good range of wines, beers and ciders including local drops. Customer service was friendly and efficient.
Impressive views of the golf course. Friendly and efficient service. Small but good range of quality foods and drinks. Astonishing value for money.
