what the judges said (2017-2018)
Carboni’s Italian Kitchen in Ballarat is well worth putting on your ‘places to visit’ list if you’re an out-of-towner. If you are a local you are probably a regular already. We received a warm welcome and shown to one of the cosy dining booths on arrival. The food was honest and authentic Italian, prepared with care and respect, delivered to the table by helpful and friendly staff. Carboni’s Banquet “Feed Me” at $49 each for ten dishes was exceptional and the flavours and textures varied and interesting. The predominantly Italian wine and soft drinks list was equally appealing, lots of wines by the glass, and presented with helpful advice and information. The coffee was good too. Carbonari’s Kitchen has a welcoming air of generosity and competency that will bring you back, and provides exceptional value for money.
