About the Harwood Andrews Golden Plate Awards

Introduced in 2003 the Harwood Andrews Golden Plate Awards recognise and promotes excellence in hospitality in three regions of Victoria:

  • Ballarat, Daylesford and the Pyrenees
  • Geelong, the Bellarine, Surfcoast and The Otways
  • Bendigo and Central Victoria.

Eateries competing in the Awards are judged by hospitality experts under the leadership of “Industry Legend” Rita Erlich at least twice over several months without notice for up to 35 factors. These factors include food and drink quality and presentation, choices of local foods, wines beers and ciders, customer service, ambiance, coffee, and value for money.

Our Naming Rights Sponsor for 2015 and 2016 Harwood Andrews has been named BtheChange Rookie of the Year at this year’s international B Corp Champions in Philadelphia, USA. The award was open to any B Corp outside the USA within its first two years of certification – making this another great achievement for Harwood Andrews. The Award follows the firm’s recent receipt of Best Regional/Suburban Firm of the Year at the 2016 Lawyers Weekly Awards that focused on Harwood Andrews’ regional expertise, specialised legal skills, innovative practices and community focus.
