All eateries throughout Regional Victoria can take part in the Golden Plate Awards if nominated by the publicEach is judged without notice for up to 35 factors by experienced reviewers over several monthsAwards are based on the combined scores from the two rounds of judging.  

In 2017 the State Winner was Merne at Lighthouse Drysdale (Victoria Bays and Coasts region)
